VSS Scientific Updates During Pandemic Times #63

1. More Missing Age Data in VAERS COVID19 Injection Reports for Severe than Mild Adverse Events in Children and Women at Peak Fertility Ages

“Biases for missing information increase as a function of event severity and decrease with age. Tendencies for increased bias in missing information with event severity are greatest in children and decrease with age. Pre- and post-screening biases in female/male ratios increase with event severity for ages above 17, the pattern is strongest at peak female fertility ages, 18-29.”

3. COVID Vaccines Should Be Classified as GMO Products

Should COVID shots be officially classified as a gene therapy contaminated with DNA? If it’s true that these products are dangerous by definition, what ramifications would be expected for the human population — both those injected and those in proximity to the injected?

4. COVID Summer Wave Grows, Especially in West, With New Variant LB.1 on the Rise

“A summertime wave of Covid-19 infections is arriving earlier than last year across a growing share of the country, federal data suggests, as a new variant called LB.1 could be on track to become the latest dominant strain of the virus. For the first time in months, the CDC estimates that no states or territories are seeing COVID-19 infections slow this past week. Key virus indicators appear to be worsening fastest across a number of western states, where trends first began climbing this month.”

5. U.S. is 'Flying Blind' with Bird Flu, Repeating Mistakes of COVID

“We’re flying blind,” said Jennifer Nuzzo, director of the Pandemic Center at the Brown University School of Public Health. With so few tests run, she said, it’s impossible to know how many farmworkers have been infected, or how serious the disease is. A lack of testing means the country might not notice if the virus begins to spread between people — the gateway to another pandemic.

Geert Vanden Bossche received his DVM from the University of Ghent, Belgium, and his PhD degree in Virology from the University of Hohenheim, Germany. He held adjunct faculty appointments at universities in Belgium and Germany. After his career in Academia, Geert joined several vaccine companies (GSK Biologicals, Novartis Vaccines, Solvay Biologicals) to serve various roles in vaccine R&D as well as in late vaccine development.

Geert then moved on to join the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation’s Global Health Discovery team in Seattle (USA) as Senior Program Officer; he then worked with the Global Alliance for Vaccines and Immunization (GAVI) in Geneva as Senior Ebola Program Manager. At GAVI he tracked efforts to develop an Ebola vaccine. He also represented GAVI in fora with other partners, including WHO, to review progress on the fight against Ebola and to build plans for global pandemic preparedness.

Back in 2015, Geert scrutinized and questioned the safety of the Ebola vaccine that was used in ring vaccination trials conducted by WHO in Guinea. His critical scientific analysis and report on the data published by WHO in the Lancet in 2015 was sent to all international health and regulatory authorities involved in the Ebola vaccination program. After working for GAVI, Geert joined the German Center for Infection Research in Cologne as Head of the Vaccine Development Office. He is at present primarily serving as a Biotech / Vaccine consultant while also conducting his own research on Natural Killer cell-based vaccines.
